What is borosilicate glass?
What is borosilicate glass?
Borosilicate glass is a type of glass composed of silicon dioxide and boron; it is commonly known under the commercial brands Duran, Pyrex, or Kimax.

Despite being a type of glass with added difficulty in production, it is economical and has good heat and chemical resistance.

Its use is especially implemented in chemistry and biology laboratories, but it is also commonly used in sectors such as kitchen utensils, decoration, lighting, or some types of window glass.
