This type of mixers are used for mixing solids in liquids. It basically consists of a vertically mounted centrifugal pump body and impeller. The suction has a double-walled tube that keeps the entry of solids and liquids separated, preventing the formation of lumps before entering the body. The fluid enters the mixing body at high speed, creating a vacuum in the center of the impeller that causes the suction of solids. The drop of solids is adjustable through a valve located at the bottom of the hopper.
