High pressure homogenizer manufactured by APV The homogenization process is used to improve product characteristics, add value and/or reduce costs. It is a physical process that mixes two immiscible liquids into an emulsion. Fluids enter the homogenizer forced through a small gap at high pressure, which causes a rapid increase in velocity and a decrease in pressure, creating turbulence and pressure differences that cause disruption and dispersion of the particles.
